Venture just outside Las Vegas and discover a hidden world of kayaking adventures in Black Canyon, home to the glowing waters of the Emerald Cave. Our expert guides launch tours from Willow Beach, leading you into the heart of Lake Mead National Recreation Area—a place we know like the back of our paddle.

At Trek Las Vegas, we’re not about following the crowd. Our small-group tours feel more like paddling with a knowledgeable friend than a scripted guide. As you explore, you’ll glide past relics from the Hoover Dam construction era, pull up to tucked-away beaches, and paddle through the shimmering green waters of Emerald Cave. We always say—keep your eyes peeled for wildlife! You might spot bighorn sheep scaling the canyon walls, bald eagles soaring above, or red-tailed hawks hunting along the cliffs.

Whether it’s your first time in a kayak or your fiftieth, we’re here to make your time on the water unforgettable. At Trek Las Vegas, we live to explore the canyon's hidden corners—and we can’t wait to share them with you. Let’s paddle into something amazing together.

Experience The Magic Of Emerald Cave - A Natural Oasis Beyond The Neon

About an hour from the Las Vegas Strip, everything changes.

The neon fades, the crowds disappear, and you find yourself at Willow Beach—tucked inside the Black Canyon along the Colorado River. The water turns calm and glassy, canyon walls rise thousands of feet around you, and the desert feels unexpectedly alive.

This is where Emerald Cave lives—a natural wonder known for its glowing green water, created when sunlight reflects off the canyon walls and riverbed at just the right angle. It’s one of those places that doesn’t feel real until you’re in it.

It’s no surprise that visitors from around the world carve out time to come here. Between the emerald glow, quiet coves, and chances to spot bighorn sheep or bald eagles, this stretch of river offers something you won’t find anywhere on the Strip.

That said, every launch has its own magic. No matter which time you choose, you’re still in for an unforgettable day paddling through the Black Canyon with stunning scenery, hidden caves, wildlife, and plenty of time to soak it all in.

Yes! This stretch of the Colorado River is considered flat-water kayaking, meaning there are no whitewater rapids to navigate. While wind and water flow can occasionally create choppier conditions, we use wide, stable sit-on-top kayaks specifically chosen for comfort and safety.
