Description
Caves, Hidden Beaches & Canyon Trails: Set out on a full-day adventure with a 6-mile round-trip paddle through some of Black Canyon’s most stunning and historic landscapes—an extended experience lasting up to an hour longer than most full-day tours. Building on the best parts of our half-day tour, you’ll first explore the captivating Emerald, Echo, and Lover’s Caves, then continue beyond into the river’s hidden corners for a deeper, more unforgettable adventure.
Along the way, soak in breathtaking canyon vistas beneath towering walls and discover historic remnants from the Hoover Dam era that line the river’s edge. With more time on the water, you’ll paddle at a relaxed pace—flowing with the spontaneity of the day and enjoying plenty of opportunities to explore, pause, and truly take it all in.
Keep your eyes peeled for desert wildlife like bighorn sheep and bald eagles as you move deeper into this rugged landscape. When you reach a secluded riverside beach, take a refreshing swim, relax on the sand, or simply float in the stillness of the canyon.
For those craving more, an optional short hike into a dramatic slot canyon offers sweeping views and a deeper connection to the area’s geology and history.
Throughout the day, your guide captures hundreds of photos and videos, so you can stay fully present while leaving with a gallery of incredible memories from your time on the Colorado River.
This is the tour for those who want more than just Emerald Cave—more distance, more discovery, and more of the canyon few ever get to experience.
